Track containers at Port Houston Bayport: port and line LFD, availability, holds, discharge and gate-out, with email alerts before the LFD.
What we track at Bayport Container Terminal
Availability
Whether the container is available for pickup.
Last free day
Port Houston gives two: the port LFD (terminal storage) and the line LFD (line demurrage). DwellZero uses whichever comes first.
Holds
Freight and customs status, plus any other holds on the container.
Discharge
When the container came off the vessel.
Gate-out
The time it left the terminal.
Vessel
Vessel and voyage.
Bayport is Port Houston’s newer container terminal. It publishes two separate last free days, one for terminal storage and one for the line’s demurrage.
What to watch at Bayport
Check both LFDs, not just the one on your delivery order. The line LFD can be earlier than the port LFD. DwellZero reminds you before whichever comes first.
How often we check
DwellZero checks each container several times a day on a schedule that follows where it is: more often while it is arriving and as the Last Free Day gets close, and less often once it is past its LFD or not yet known to the terminal. When something changes, you get an email right away, and a webhook if you have one set up. You also get a reminder two days before the LFD, the day before, and on the day.
Port Houston lists a port LFD for terminal storage and a line LFD for the shipping line's demurrage. They can differ by a day or more. DwellZero alerts on whichever comes first.
What if my container is at Barbours Cut instead?
DwellZero checks both Houston terminals. If a container you added at Bayport turns up at Barbours Cut, DwellZero still finds it and gives you its LFD and holds from there.
Does DwellZero tell me when the container leaves Bayport?
Yes. DwellZero records the gate-out time and stops sending LFD reminders once the container is out.
Stop checking terminals by hand.
DwellZero watches your containers at Bayport Container Terminal and across 91 port terminals and 71 rail ramps in the US and Canada. 10 containers a month are free.
